We had the busiest most fun weekend!! I feel like I have a hangover, even thought I didn’t drink a thing (well…maybe one desperately needed beer at Chuck E Cheese).

On Saturday, we went with my mom and dad to her company picnic. It was held at DeAnza Cove in Mission Bay. The weather was beautiful. A little cloudy in the AM but clearing to beautiful blue skies. There was a lot of food, games and fun. There were two inflatables. One small bouncy for the little kids and then a giant obstacle course for the bigger kids. Anthony went round and round on that obstacle course all day. I don’t know how he didn’t get tired. Of course, the little ones jumped their hearts out.

Then they had face painters (an old grouchy face painter) and balloon animals, tarot card readers and other cool stuff. I played some silly games. We had fun. Of course I have some pictures…

Then, on Sunday, it was my nephew Robert’s 11th birthday!! His party was held at Chuck E Cheese. I guess you could call it fun. I was stressed out chasing all 3 boys by myself. DH was the lucky one and had to work. ;) But the boys had fun and that is what matters (I suppose).

The best part was when Officers from the La Mesa Police Department came to pay Robert a visit! It was SO COOL! My cousin, Carina, had called and made arrangements for them to stop by during the party. Robert loves everything police, so he was in absolute heaven. Me and my mom were both all teary eyed talking to the lady officer. We are such goobers. But Robert has gone through a lot in his life and we were so happy to see him happy.

Anyhow, it was awesome. The Officers were THE nicest. I wish I had gotten their names. They let all the kids play in the car, talk on the P.A., they turned on the lights and sirens. It was cool. I can’t say enough how wonderful they were to us.

Here is the one I want to have framed….

Then a few more from the party. I was having a hard time with my camera. It’s not been wanting to focus indoors. Very annoying, so most of them were blurry.

My niece, Rhea, hiding under the table because she doesn’t like Chuck E Cheese LOL!

And finally, Gabe with his Rod Stewart hair…LOL

Thanks for looking!

Out at my work we have some chickens, parakeets, and cats. We used to have a cow but his name was “Sir Loin” and well…he’s not there anymore. :) I took Anthony with me to work today and he had the BEST time playing with the chickens. I happened to have my camera because I was taking pictures of the property for the website I am building them. Anyhow…gotta real cute one to share.

Yesterday was my anniversary. I have been married for 7 years. Pretty cool huh? I’ve been currently married two years longer than my previous marriage. An all time record for me! LOL! Somehow I have not managed to run this one off.

But instead of a happy anniversary, I had a crappy day. :( My body hurt all over, was PMSing, dealing with grouchy kids and then last but not least I had a toddler poop on his booster seat. I have a picture. I could post it, but it’s kinda gross and well, this is a “family” blog. LOL! So I shared it with my TS friends because I needed to share it somewhere!

So no fanfare, no special anything. Just another day. I worked, Bob worked. That was my day. *sigh*

Yesterday my dad turned 70 years old! Me and my mom had been working very hard to have a surprise party for him and it actually worked! Amazingly enough, my 3yo didn’t spill the beans (and neither did a friend of my dads that actually talked about getting the invitation! LOL). My dad remained blissfully unaware. YAY us!

We set everything up as a Mexican Fiesta. We took lots of old pictures of my dad and put them around. We had lots of Mexican candy, pinatas, Coronas and margaritas! SO FUN!

So Saturday afternoon my mom took my dad out to lunch and a movie so me and my sister, Deb, could set up the party. It was a great hit and turned out so wonderful. I couldn’t have done it without her. I took about 200 pictures! Here are my favorite 50 (well….49). LOL I put them in a slide show so it would be easier to view. Enjoy!

Here is the invitation that I made.

Then, on Sunday (his actual birthday) my mom took him to Warner Springs to go up on a glider plane flight. He had so much fun! Here are some pictures of that, too:

Getting ready:

The glider gets towed behind a plane to get into the air

So that was my dads weekend. I hope he had as much fun as I did! Everyone sing “Happy Birthday to you!!” I love you dad!!

Big Boy Beds!

The day has come where my babies are becoming big boys. *sniff* They all share a room, so I wanted to do a bunk bed and another twin bed. That way the twins would be down low, and Anthony could be bunked. Well, I was on Craigslist and found a triple bunk for only $100!! I was STOKED! It’s not in the best of shape. It needs some new mattresses, but all in all, a solid oak bed for 100 bucks, it’s awesome. It can be split up so that it’s just a low loft (which is what Anthony was in anyways) and then 2 twins. Eventually, I can add one of the twins to the top of Anthony’s low loft and have a triple bunk. Before you freak out…I don’t plan on doing that for a long time. :)

So it only took me and Bob two days, but it’s finally put together! YAY! And, as I type, two little boys are (hopefully) falling asleep in their new beds. :) :) At least I don’t hear them screaming anymore LOL! Of course, I have some pictures.

This is what you see from the doorway. It’s still a bit crowded because I haven’t taken the cribs down, yet *just in case!*

Here is Gabe’s. There is another back railing that I will put on the side facing the wall (it will match the loft bed), but I ran out of bolts and need to get a few more.

Couple more:

I’m so happy!

So there ya have it! WooHoo! I don’t hear crying….I’m gonna go check on them….

**UPDATE**
They are sleeping!! AAwwwww!!!!

Gosh…they look so tiny in those big beds.

Hey, for those that are keeping tabs on the triplets. I have a new slide show posted on their page. Contact me if you don’t still have the password. :)

Good morning everyone. Happy 4th of July!! We are having a little bar-b-que here today. I think just my brother and his kids are coming over. So it will be fun. Temp in the high 90’s. Probably will break out the pool Yippee!

Anyhow, I am learning everyday how to do cool things in Photoshop. And last week, I did something very cool (for me). I was taking pictures of Bob and Gabriel playing. Well, Gabriel was tackling Bob in full linebacker fashion! lol! (How does a kid run full speed and slam into someone, not get hurt, and actually think it’s funny? hhmm…?). Anyhow, I got a GREAT picture of them with the exception of one tiny thing….Nathan was in the middle of it. Here is the picture:

So, one day I was reading my Oscraps newsletter and saw that Amanda Taylor (TaylorMade Designs) had a tutorial on getting unwanted objects out of a picture. So I was inspired to try and get Nathan out of my shot.

I worked a lot with the clone stamp trying to recreate the window, grass and sidewalk. But Nate was right in line with Bob’s foot. So I actually cut his foot out of a different picture and pasted it into my new one. :) I had to do some blending, but it fit pretty well and was at the right angle. I’m sorry I don’t know how to take screen shots, otherwise I would post here what I did step by step. So you’ll just have to use your imagination. LOL. But after a while I ended up with this:

Didn’t I do a good job? hehe. The coloring isn’t quite right on the stucco. I must have been cloning a shaded area. But after I got done with it and put it in a LO, it didn’t matter. I am so proud of myself. Here is my LO that I created with this picture:

Anyhow, there is my accomplishment. And Bob was even proud of me which is amazing since he doesn’t like all this scrapbook business. :) :) Talk to ya’ll later.

For the boys’ birthday, my parents got us all passes to the San Diego Zoo & Wild Animal Park. Today, we took them all to the WAP. It was a beautiful day and we had a GREAT time!! The boys were so good. I took 105 pictures! Here are my favorites (still a TON):

First one of the day. I’m on a constant quest to get a good picture of the twins together…this was okay.

Here is Nathan trying to be like big brother…

We were watching this momma duck diving down and getting grub for her baby duck. Gabe was laughing his butt off everytime the duck went down (notice…he has his favorite bear with him)

This is over near the merecats (you know - Timon). Gabe was more interested in watching the little animals and he didn’t want to take time to pose for pictures.

Anthony always has time to pose for pictures…lol

Some from the petting zoo….Gabe loved feeding the deer. He even kept picking up rocks and trying to feed them.

This deer LOVED licking Anthony! It was so funny.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

OMGosh! We loved the Lorikeet’s! You could buy a cup of nectar and go in to feed them. They land on you and drink. Anthony & Gabe were all over that! They had a great time feeding them. Nathan didn’t like them so much…

Then we came across this tortoise. The boys had a lot of fun watching it, too.

The lions were out and very active today. I got this awesome shot of the male that I got all excited about.

If you’ve been to the WAP before, you remember that there is a giant hill that you have to go down (and back up) to get down to the lions, elephants etc. Well, they put in this new elevator that takes you back up to the top. It was so great! And at the top, there was a really great view of the Africa part of the park. We got there and Anthony said “Mommy, I can see all the way to Africa!!” haha! It was so perfect for where we were. Love his cherry slushy smile!

Having ice cream. The twins were asleep by now. There was this duck here that loved ice cream! So we were feeding him (as was a bunch of other people), then these 2 old ladies (my mom called them the “african queens” LOL) told him to stop. They were such a kill joy. BLAH! haha! But we fed him anyways.

Awww….sleeping babies

A few more silly ones

Anthony insisted on taking a picture of me and Gabe

So that was our day! We had such a nice time.

Howdy

Yesterday was Fathers Day. We had a great day (I hope daddy did, too!). Anthony made him blue pancakes for breakfast and then gave him his present. I had taken him to K-Mart with $20.00 that his grandma gave him (thanks mom!) and he shopped until he found the perfect present. He went from department to department (tools, garden, electronics and back to tools) before decided on a 3 in 1 saw. I have no idea what a computer geek is going to do with a saw…but hey, he picked it out and was so darn pleased with himself! Anthony is such a thoughtful kid. I’m so proud of him.

So then we bar-b-qued with my foks, my brother (and his kids) and my sister & BIL. It was SO freakin hot! But they kids played in the water and we had a great day. I was pooped at the end of the day, but I had to watch some Discovery Channel show about NASA that Anthony was totally into. :)

I’ve made some new pages to share. I hope you don’t mind.

The Blog Police have been after me again because it’s been too long since my last post. Sheesh. lol.

We haven’t been up to much. Anthony is currently sick. He is SO sad because we had a birthday party to go to and now he is going to miss it. Poor kid.

Me and Bob actually went on a date last weekend (or maybe the weekend before…?). We went and saw The Police in concert. It was lots of fun. I had the best time watching all the people walking around that never got the memo that the 80’s were over! HA! The hair, the clothes, the pot. Holy cow. It was very entertaining. And I decided that Sting is actually pretty darn good looking. :)

I’ve been keeping busy with my scrapbooking. I’m having so much fun learning new things. I figure something out and just get all giddy. I wish Bob understood the point of it all. But, per his request, I am uploading some “regular” pictures.

Not much else is going on. I’ll BBL with some cool new scrapbook pages ;)
